Day 2

The thing that is so unique about Ronald McDonald House is the devotion everyone puts into what they do. The entire place is run by only volunteers who do everything to make sure the building is running at all times. Volunteers prepare rooms, make meals, run the front desk, do laundry, and many other things. I have been assigned to administrative jobs. This means that I am basically a secretary. I helped Kate alphabetize volunteer forms in hundreds of folders. This was very boring and mindless but it was something that needed done so I pushed through it. It took about 2 hours until I was ready to jump off of the roof but I managed to get a new task re-making the rooms for the next guests to come in. I met another volunteer named Jill who showed me how to organize the rooms so they would be perfect for the next guests to arrive. The best way to describe Jill is a sweet and sassy New Yorker.
